Q-What should I expect at the RTC weekend?
A-Your time will be divided between a number of 50 minute teaching and workshop sessions, a small amount of entertainment and some free time to spend together with your family.
Q-What will the teaching and workshop session topics be?
A-There will be something for everyone from the age of 10 on up. Some sessions will be for the entire family and some will separate the children from the adults.
Q-What are the adult topics?
A-Parenting and marriage topics will be focused on what is most practical and applicable to healthy family life and will typically include; understanding and valuing our differences as family members, conflict management and resolution, understanding temperament, building value and character, clarifying parenting roles, understanding gen-y/gen-z "digital natives" brain development, just to name a few.
Q-What will the children and teens have for topics?
A-The children will be divided into two groups; 10-14 and 15-up. They will have very interactive sessions (they're way cool) that cover topics like; dating, building relationships, social and business etiquette and manners, other important life skills, and did we mention dating...?
Q- Will there be childcare for children under 10?
A- No, we will not be providing childcare for the younger children.
Q-What do you mean by "entertainment"?
A-By entertainment we mean that there will be fun learning experiences outside of the classroom setting. A couple of examples would be short dramas, just like the ones you have at home, only more educational in nature. (grin) Another example would be swing dance lessons for the entire family. Dancing has other benefits beyond physical health. It is a very useful social skill and can help deepen relationships.
Q-How much will it cost?
Renew the Crew events are no cost to attend. The organizers rely on donations and sponsors to cover event expenses.
